How It Works
Business Intelligence OnDemand is made up of two parts:
1. Data Integration Hub
The data integration hub uses an automated process to move data from your data sources into our fully supported and hosted data warehouse. Incoming data can include:
- Your local, on-premise sources (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP).
- Third-party, off-premise sources (e.g., Salesforce.com, NetSuite, WebEx).
To make it easier to work with your data, you'll be able to build a universe on top of the data warehouse that assigns business names to database objects.
Separate environments for production, development, and staging allow you to develop and test new business intelligence solutions without affecting your production environment.
2. End-User Interface
Business Intelligence OnDemand has the same easy-to-use interface as crystalreports.com - our Web-based platform for sharing reports. (Try crystalreports.com for free.) In addition, it includes advanced business intelligence tools like Web Intelligence, our enterprise-ready tool for ad-hoc analysis.
Report designers will be able to create, host, and manage a variety of reports and dashboards, such as Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence reports, and Xcelsius dashboards.
Report users will gain access to live reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools.
