What's New - October 9, 2008

Chaining reporting hierarchies
You can now chain one hierarchy to another hierarchy, or to another branch of the same hierarchy. This allows for approval by members who do not have direct relationships in a hierarchy - for instance, when a sales quote needs to be approved by someone in the sales hierarchy, and by someone else in the finance hierarchy.

Automatic approval support when using reporting hierarchy
If certain positions in a hierarchy do not need to approve a routing, you can set them as optional positions - in effect, changing these participants into reviewers intead of approvers.

Geography-aware routing support
You can now create hierarchies based on geographical regions and use them to ensure that approval requests go to members in the appropriate region.

What's New - July 12, 2008

Enhanced Universal Web Services (UWSC) Driver
You can now query data that resides in detail area grids, which means you'll be able to create advanced analytics on products and services included on a quote form.

Automated crystalreports.com account registration
It's now easier to use crystalreports.com and Nsite Business Applications together - admin accounts and new users are now automatically synchronized between the two applications.

Routing by hierarchical reporting structure
If your organization has a position-based, hierarchical reporting structure, you can now route your quotes according to that hierarchy.

Automated escalations
If an approver hasn't replied by their deadline, a quote can now be routed to their supervisor for approval.

Comments and forwarding for email approvals
You can now use an email client or a BlackBerry device to not only approve or reject quotes but also add comments that other participants can see - or even add other reviewers or approvers to the quote.

Keyword search for routings
To find a specific quote, you can now search routings by keyword.

Batch archiving by date range
It's now faster to choose which routings to archive - you can now select them by date range.

Conditional filtering for enterprise object (EO) mapping

Approval via email
To approve or reject a quote, you can now either log in to the application or perform the action via email. This feature is also available to users of BlackBerry devices.

Notification Builder - email template
When you initiate a routing, you can now customize the text and design of the notification email that is sent to recipients.

Web services - multiple enterprise object query
To query multiple elements from an enterprise object, you now only need to use one web service API call. This greatly enhances performance and provides the ability to create complex forms.

Filtering on management pages
To locate a specific enterprise object, you can now use a filter instead of scanning multiple screens.

Access control for proposal templates
You can now use role-based access control (RBAC) to determine who can access proposal templates, giving you finer control over the proposal-generation process.

Reference quote and proposal application
To help you get started faster, the out-of-the-box quote and proposal (Q&P) application now comes prepackaged with all objects specific to a Q&P application, but without the dummy data.
